Statement by ANZAED on Fast Track Trial released today
Today, the professional body for those working with eating disorders, ANZAED, has released a statement saying it has strong concerns about the Fast Track to Health trial being conducted at The Children's Hospital at Westmead and Monash Children's Hospital. Fast Track to Health is looking at the effect of a modified alternate day fasting dietary pattern on weight loss and well-being among young people above a healthy weight.

Historic announcement in eating disorders
CEED welcomes the announcement made by the Federal Government on Sunday 9th December of funding for a new Medicare Item number for eating disorders for up to 40 psychotherapeutic sessions and 20 dietetic sessions for those with serious eating disorders.

Launched in October 2018, this guideline provides specialist advice about involving family and carers in the treatment and care of individual consumers. Individual consumers include children and young people, adults and ageing consumers.
