Clinical Consultation

Clinical consultation offers invaluable support for clinicians and services responding to those with eating disorders and their families. Consultations are delivered as either Clinical Secondary consultations or as Group consultations and provide services guidance around the treatment and management of individuals living with an eating disorder.

Secondary Consultation

Clinical Secondary consultation encourages health professionals to step back and consider the broader context of their experience with a client or system.

It provides a safe space for clinicians to share the emotional burden of their work, discuss challenging cases, ethical dilemmas, and gain fresh perspectives. This collaborative approach with our lived experience workforce supports those working in the field to gain valuable insights and continue to build upon their eating disorders skills and knowledge.

To further support professionals working with individuals and families struggling with eating disorders, CEED offers Carer Consultations, providing access to the unique and invaluable perspective and support of a lived experience worker.

Group Case Consultation

CEED’s Group Case consultations creates a space for teams to learn, grow and navigate the complexities of the eating disorders field.

It fosters a collaborative environment for health professionals responding to those with eating disorders. Lived experience advisors, dietitians, and senior mental health clinicians provide comprehensive guidance and support, enabling health professionals to receive well-rounded insights and effective strategies for responding to and working with individuals with eating disorders.

Service Development Support

CEED supports Victorian Public Mental Health Services to enhance the accessibility and quality of their resources, programs and treatment for those affected by eating disorders.

This may involve training opportunities, workforce development guidance or support to develop and implement new services that reflect local needs. CEED embraces a co-design model, working collaboratively with the Lived Experience Workforce while responding to the unique needs of services.
