A Two-Day Skills Masterclass Workshop for CBT-E Practitioners.
This workshop is suitable for CBT-E practitioners who already have knowledge of CBT-E and have experience in using it. It is focused on helping clinicians to master the delivery of key procedures in CBT-E by enhancing their knowledge and skills. It will include experiential exercises with a particular focus on developing practical skills, adapting CBT-E for complex cases, and mastering the challenges associated with working with underweight patients.
This workshop will aim to provide practitioners with guidance on how to master key procedures in CBT-E, and how to use these with people with eating disorders who also present with complexity and/or being a low weight. Practitioners will learn:
- When and how to adapt CBT-E for complex cases and comorbidity
- How to successfully implement key transdiagnostic procedures, namely: the creation of a collaborative formulation, self-monitoring, and body checking.
- How to work with underweight patients and address: motivation to change, weight regain and strict dietary rules.
Target Audience: This workshop is suitable for CBT-E practitioners who already have knowledge of CBT-E and have experience in using it. It will suit practitioners who would like to develop their skills further, with regards to key transdiagnostic procedures in CBT-E and for working with individuals with complexity and those who are a low weight.
